Blow Molding Processes Explained
Choosing the right manufacturing method is critical to balancing unit cost, lead time, and part performance.
Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM)
Ideal for larger containers, jerrycans, and industrial tanks. This process is highly cost-effective for medium-to-large production runs and allows for the integration of handles, off-center openings, and complex hollow geometries. EBM permits precise parison programming to optimize wall thickness distributions across corners and bases.
Material Selection for Your Application
The performance of a plastic bottle depends directly on material compatibility with the contents and the operating environment. We run both standard and engineering-grade polymers.
HDPE / LDPE
High and Low-Density Polyethylene offer exceptional chemical resistance, impact toughness, and flexibility. Ideal for harsh chemical storage, reservoirs, and industrial fluid ducts.
PP (Polypropylene)
Offers high heat resistance, rigid thermal stability, and superior environmental stress-crack resistance (ESCR). Ideal for autoclavable, food-safe, or hot-fill containers.
PET
The benchmark polymer for glass-like optical clarity, rigid drop resistance, and high CO2/oxygen barrier performance in food, personal care, and retail consumer goods.
PVC & PC
Selected for high structural rigidity, flame retardancy, and transparent properties in specialized industrial housings, laboratory containers, and heavy-duty dispensers.
From Prototype to Contract Manufacturing
We support your product lifecycle at every stage. During design validation, we build prototype tooling to verify form, neck fit, fluid dynamics, and wall distribution before committing capital to high-cavitation production molds.
For commercial-stage programs, our scalable contract manufacturing includes inline secondary finishing: custom labeling, silk-screen printing, precision drilling, spin welding, and retail-ready secondary packing.
Quality Control & Technical Specifications
We manufacture directly to your CAD master models (STEP, IGES, X_T, STL) and 2D GD&T drawings. Our internal Metrology & QA department conducts continuous verification on every production lot.
- Non-destructive magnetic wall thickness profiling
- High-pressure submerged decay and vacuum leakage testing
- CMM optical verification for neck threads and closure seal interfaces
- Raw resin melt index (MFI) and density batch verification
